Here is the fifth of ten original photos by Douglas C. Jones that were taken in the Juniata section of Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1953. This photo was taken in the storage yard at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Erecting & Machine Shop. Prominent here is PRR engine #2824, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during November of 1910 and retired in March of 1953 after 43 years of faithful service.
