Here is a steam locomotive portrait by D.W. Eldridge that was taken in Peoria, Illinois, on 7 July 1947. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8624, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in Juniata as an H-8A in February of 1908, rebuilt as an H-10S in December of 1915, and retired in May of 1952 after 44 years.
